Our client is one of the leading European providers of machinery, equipment, and special rentals with a nationwide branch network in Austria. As part of an internationally operating corporate group, the company holds a leading position in its segment with a clear focus on customer proximity, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and implementation-oriented leader who will take overall responsibility for the Austrian business, accompany the company through an important development phase, and connect sustainable growth with a strong corporate culture and high employee retention. This key role offers significant scope for design, full P&L responsibility, and direct influence on strategy, operations, and corporate development – as a member of the DACH management team.
- Overall responsibility (P&L) for the Austrian company and its nationwide branch network
- Strategic, commercial, and operational leadership including sales, operations, fleet management, and HR
- Further development of the core business as well as implementation of a sustainable growth strategy
- Building a positive corporate culture and ensuring high employee retention
- Leadership and development of decentralized teams (commercial and administrative) across all locations
- Close collaboration with the international functions within the corporate group
- Several years of leadership experience with P&L responsibility (overall company or region), ideally from the rental, construction, industrial, or service sectors
- Experience in leading larger, decentralized or site/depot-organized organizations
- Proven strength in change management, growth, as well as employee engagement and retention
- Combination of sales and operations expertise with a strong hands-on mentality
- Experience in an international matrix or corporate environment is an advantage
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to engage people for change – at both management and employee and customer levels
- Fluent in German and English
For this position, a collective agreement minimum salary applies. Depending on qualifications and experience, a market-compliant salary with significant overpayment is offered.
