Our client is an internationally active software company and is one of the leading providers of integrated solutions for security and building management. For more than 30 years, the company has been developing innovative software solutions that are used worldwide by companies, operators of critical infrastructures, and in complex building environments. The solutions enable the central networking and control of various security, building, and IoT systems within an overarching software platform.
To further strengthen the internal IT organization at the company location in the Frankfurt area, we are looking for a System Administrator (m/f/d), who combines solid infrastructure knowledge with a modern understanding of IT security, cloud technologies, and automation.
- Planning and implementation of IT projects, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, network, and IT security.
- Operation, maintenance, and continuous development of the existing hybrid IT environment.
- Administration and further development of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Office.
- Administration of Microsoft Windows Server and client systems, as well as virtualized and hyper-converged infrastructures based on Hyper-V.
- Ensuring IT security within the infrastructure, including in the areas of identity & access management, network segmentation, vulnerability and risk management, and incident response.
- Support in the further development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) as well as in the preparation for certification according to ISO/IEC 27001.
- Planning and administration of network architectures, storage solutions in on-premise and cloud environments, as well as backup and recovery systems.
- Identification and implementation of automation potentials to increase the efficiency and stability of ongoing IT operations.
- Support in the operational IT daily business, including endpoint management, employee lifecycle, and user support.
- Technical consulting and support for internal departments as well as international company locations.
- Administration and support of additional technologies and applications, such as Linux, Docker, and VoIP/PBX systems.
- Creation and maintenance of transparent technical documentation, from system configurations and operational documentation to traceable change records.
- Several years of professional experience in the administration of IT systems, IT infrastructures, or a comparable technical IT function.
- Solid experience in the implementation and support of IT infrastructure projects.
- Very good knowledge in hybrid Microsoft 365 environments, especially Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Office.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Windows Server and client systems as well as virtualization technologies, ideally Hyper-V.
- Good knowledge in network architecture and modern networking technologies as well as in the area of on-premise and cloud storage solutions, backup, and recovery.
- Good understanding of modern IT security concepts such as IAM, network segmentation, vulnerability management, zero trust, and incident response.
- Basic knowledge of Linux, Docker, VoIP/PBX systems, and application administration is an advantage.
- Knowledge in information security management as well as initial contact with ISO/IEC 27001, BSI IT baseline protection, or comparable frameworks is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Understanding of risk-based work as well as the ability to weigh technical decisions regarding protection needs, operability, and implementation effort.
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style as well as strong communication skills.
- Ability to document complex technical issues transparently, understandably, and also reliably in an audit context.
- Fluent German skills at C1 level and very good English skills at B2 level.
For this position, a collective agreement minimum salary applies. Depending on qualifications and experience, a market-compliant salary with significant overpayment is offered.
