Finance Director (m/f/d) - Industrial Company - Vienna (AT)

Our client is an internationally active industrial company with an excellent market position and sustainable profitability. As part of further professionalization and strategic development, the finance department is being specifically expanded and elevated to a modern, high-performance management level.

For this central key position, we are looking for an experienced, assertive leader who will systematically develop the finance department and establish it as an integral part of corporate management. The role offers direct influence on essential decision-making processes as well as a high degree of creative freedom in building efficient, scalable structures.

Your tasks:


  • Overall responsibility for the further development and structuring of the finance department (accounting, controlling, reporting)
  • Establishment of a transparent, metrics-based management system to support corporate governance
  • Development and implementation of forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes
  • Further development of cost center accounting as a central tool for operational management
  • Ensuring high data quality as well as efficient and traceable financial processes
  • Consolidation of international companies, including the US entities
  • Close collaboration with management as well as involvement of relevant corporate areas (including investment planning)
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of a team of around 15 employees
  • Further development of the existing system landscape (Microsoft Dynamics) as well as reduction of manual processes
  • Establishment of sustainable structures for the long-term professionalization of the finance area
Your profile:

  • Several years of experience in a leadership role in the finance area, ideally with a focus on building and transforming structures
  • Proven implementation competence in the introduction or further development of financial processes and systems
  • Solid know-how in controlling, reporting, and cost management
  • Strong understanding of cost center accounting and operational corporate management
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • International finance experience as well as competence in the consolidation of companies
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented working style with clear implementation strength
  • Confident appearance as well as the ability to clearly define and sustainably anchor structures
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and strong result orientation

For this position, a collective agreement minimum salary applies. Depending on qualifications and experience, a market-compliant salary with significant overpayment is offered.
