For an internationally leading industrial and technology company headquartered in Upper Austria, we are looking for an experienced leader from strategic IT procurement or IT management, who will transform the company-wide IT procurement from decentralized to centralized, lead their own team, and be responsible for the global IT commodity group with a purchasing volume in the three-digit million range – with a direct reporting line to the Chief Procurement Officer.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Professional and disciplinary leadership as well as building and further developing the IT procurement team
- Implementation of the Target Operating Model already confirmed by top management: Transformation of the company-wide IT procurement from decentralized to centralized
- Strategic category management for the globally managed IT commodity group (hardware, software, cloud, services, connectivity)
- Negotiation and management of strategic IT corporate contracts with the world's leading software, cloud, and technology providers
- Supplier management with the company-wide strategic IT suppliers including tenders, negotiations, and contract conclusions
- Process responsibility over the entire procurement process (end-to-end) with a focus on strategic activities
- Close collaboration with corporate IT as well as presentation of concepts and decision templates up to board level
Your profile:
- Several years of leadership experience in strategic IT procurement – alternatively as IT manager with proven commercial negotiation experience in large IT contracts
- Experience in negotiating large license, cloud, and framework contracts with international technology providers
- Corporate experience as well as experience in transformation and change projects in an international environment
- In-depth knowledge of IT contract and supplier management as well as strong commercial understanding
- KPI and data-driven working methods as well as very good knowledge of common procurement solutions are an advantage
- Strong presentation and communication skills from departmental level to C-level
- High independence, build-up and hands-on mentality – the organization is being newly established, you bring the know-how
- Very good German and English language skills
For this position, a collective agreement minimum salary applies. Depending on qualifications and experience, a market-compliant salary with significant overpayment is offered.
