VP BU Controlling (m/w/d) – Styria (AT) or Shanghai (CN)

Your responsibilities:


  • Full responsibility for controlling of a global business unit with focus on performance, profitability and transparency
  • Steering of all planning processes including budget, forecast, MTP and cash flow planning
  • Acting as financial co pilot and key business partner to the Business Unit Head
  • Supporting and challenging management in strategic and operational decision making
  • Responsibility for business cases, investment decisions and financial evaluation of projects
  • Ensuring cost control, productivity improvements and margin optimization across the entire value chain
  • Development and enhancement of transparent cost and performance models
  • Steering of working capital, liquidity and optimization of the cash conversion cycle
  • Monitoring risks and opportunities in close collaboration with Group Risk Management
  • Tracking customer, product and technology profitability to support strategic decisions
  • Leading, developing and building a high performing international controlling team
  • Close collaboration with Group Finance, Business Unit leadership and key stakeholders
Your profile:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Several years of experience in controlling, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior controlling role
  • Strong expertise in FP&A, cost accounting and performance management
  • Experience in capital intensive industries is a strong advantage, ideally semiconductor, electronics or high tech manufacturing
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a high affinity for numbers
  • Confident appearance and ability to act as a business partner at top management level
  • Experience working in international and intercultural environments
  • Fluent English, German is a plus
  • Willingness to work in an international setup and flexibility regarding location
  • For this position, a minimum salary according to the collective agreement applies. 

Depending on qualifications and experience, a market competitive salary with significant overpayment is offered.
